In 2007, with her newfound love for the piano accordion, a great passion for dancing, and her continuing love affair with roots-inspired music, Juanita decided to form a dance band that celebrated the melting pot of music from Louisiana. Hence, Queen Juanita and the Zydeco Cowboys was born. The infectious beats of swing, jump blues, zydeco, reggae, and rockabilly have had many a crowd, young and old, up on their feet, unable to help themselves!

Juanita Cucinotta
Juanita Cucinotta’s musical journey began at the tender age of seven with piano lessons that sparked a lifelong passion for music. Her talents blossomed as she embraced singing, guitar, and piano accordion, leading her to study contemporary voice and performance at Kanga’s School of the Natural Voice in Sydney. Further honing her craft, Juanita trained with the Sydney Jazz Action Society and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her career has been marked by performances across Australia and internationally, including memorable shows in Vancouver, Bali, and New Orleans. Today, she leads her band, Queen Juanita and the Zydeco Cowboys, captivating audiences with her dynamic performances and soulful voice.
